LA's Best

The auditorium doors will be open from 2:30-3:00PM. After 3:00PM, please call the LA's Best Site Coordinator, Gabe.

Auditorium doors will be open for regular program dismissal from 5:45-6:00PM.

LA’s Best students will now have new meeting location as follows:

• Hours of operation: immediately after school, until 6:00pm/Monday - Friday. *Students must be enrolled to participate.* For an application see Coach Gabe.
• Please note: if students fail to follow program and school expectations, they will be excluded from the program.
• Kindergarten students will be picked up by the Kinder Coach
• 1^st – 5^th Grade students will meet Coaches at designated area

   

  Estudiantes matriculados en LA’s Best tendrán un nuevo lugar para reunirse como sigue:

• Horas de operación: inmediatamente después de la escuela a las 6:00 pm de lunes a viernes. Los estudiantes deben ser inscritos para participar. Para una aplicación ver Coach Gabe.
• Tome en cuenta que si los estudiantes no siguen las expectativas del programa y de la escuela, serán excluidos del programa.
• Los estudiantes de Kindergarten serán recogidos por el Coach de Kínder
• Los estudiantes de 1º a 5º grado se reunirán con los entrenadores en el área designada

Schedule

Since the beginning, the core activities at LA’s BEST have been divided into three and a half beats: help with homework, a learning activity that boosts core academic skills such as reading or math, something that’s new and just plain fun, and a nutritious snack. These components provide structure for a program that is otherwise highly customized based on students’ needs and the site staff’s interests and experience. 

Activities

While all sites have literacy, math, science, seasonal sports, arts and crafts and health and fitness activities, staff and students both have input into what recreational and club-based activities happen at any particular site. And of course, all students get opportunities to take special field trips and to attend citywide events throughout the year.

Mission

The mission of LA's BEST is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children ages 5 to 12 in the City of Los Angeles. 

Vision

All children need a safe place to be after school with caring, responsible adults and engaging activities that connect each child to his/her school, family and community.
